Is it safe to pay on your website?

Yes. Online payments are processed securely by Stripe. Your card is encrypted end-to-end on Stripe's servers, and we never store your full card number.

What is your cancellation policy?

For direct bookings:

• 60+ days before arrival: full refund of payments made
• 30–59 days before arrival: 50% refund
• Fewer than 30 days: non-refundable

What if I booked through Airbnb or Vrbo?

Do you recommend travel insurance?

Arrival & Check-In

When is check-in and check-out?

Check-in: 4:00 PM · Check-out: 10:00 AM. These match the times on our Airbnb and Vrbo listings.

How do I get in? Is there a key?

The home is self check-in — no need to meet anyone. Your front door has a keypad, and your code is the last 4 digits of the phone number you booked with. We'll send full arrival instructions before your stay.

Can I check in early or check out late?

Often possible when there's no same-day guest on the other side. Please ask the day before and we'll confirm with our cleaning team.

Where do I park?

The home has 2 dedicated parking spots directly in front of the unit (2 vehicles maximum). Please don't cross into the neighbor's spot or park on the street or in neighboring yards.

The Home

How many people does it sleep?

Up to 10 guests across 3 bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms: a main-level king suite (no stairs required), an upstairs queen room, and a kids' favorite bunk room with two twin bunks and two queen bunks that sleeps 6 and has its own AC.

How close is the beach?

About a half mile — an easy 8-minute walk, with a playground on the way. You're in the quiet Windy Hill section, with golf, mini golf, shopping, and restaurants directly across the street, and CVS and Starbucks a 2-minute walk away.

Do you provide linens, towels, and starter supplies?

Yes — beds are made with fresh linens and bath towels are provided, along with a starter set of paper goods, trash bags, and dish and soap basics. Beach towels and extra consumables beyond the starter set are guest-provided.

Is there beach gear?

Yes! A beach cart, chairs, and beach supplies are in the utility room right next to the living room — help yourself.

Is there a grill?

Yes, a gas grill with propane included. A spare propane tank is in the backyard; if you run out, Walgreens and CVS offer refills and we'll reimburse you with a receipt. Please clean the grill after use.

Is there an outdoor shower?

Yes — perfect for rinsing off the sand. Open the gate by lifting slightly and pulling out, then turn on the water hose (and off when you're done).

What about WiFi?

High-speed WiFi covers the whole home. The network and password are in your welcome book, along with a QR code to connect instantly.

House Rules & Good to Know

Do you allow pets?

No — pets are not permitted at this property. Verified service animals are welcome in accordance with applicable law; please let us know in advance.

Is smoking allowed?

No smoking or vaping inside the home. Tobacco use is fine on the patio, as long as you clean up and dispose of cigarette butts properly.

Are there security cameras?

Exterior only — one facing the front yard, one in the back yard, and one on the garage, for everyone's safety. There are no cameras inside the home.

How does trash work?

Just place trash in the bins outside. A home-to-curb service takes the bins to the curb on Wednesday night and brings them back in Thursday morning — you don't have to do a thing.

Anything off limits?

The garage is not part of the rental, and we ask that you avoid the backyard gate — just in case any critters have wandered into that area. Everything you need is accessible without it.

A note on coastal living

South Carolina summers are warm and humid. Because the cottage is all on one level, the occasional gecko, spider, or bug may find its way inside despite regular professional pest treatment. It's simply part of the coastal experience!

Getting Around

Can we rent a golf cart?

Yes — Myrtle Beach Golf Carts - North (The Original) is less than half a mile away and will deliver a cart right to the house. In South Carolina, golf carts must be operated by a licensed driver on approved roads.

What's nearby?

The beach and playground (8-min walk), golf and mini golf including world-famous Hawaiian Rumble, Barefoot Landing (5 min), Cherry Grove Pier, Alligator Adventure, Original Painter's Homemade Ice Cream, and downtown Myrtle Beach (20 min).
